Smart Cooling System
To ensure peak performance every ride, the YXZ1000R SS XT-R features a vented, rear-mounted radiator. This system not only reduces heat in the cabin, but it remains clear of mud or debris build-up and is designed to funnel cool air through the radiator at low or high speeds equally well.
FOX® 2.5 Podium® RC2 shocks
The YXZ1000R SS XT-R features top-shelf FOX® 2.5 Podium® RC2 shocks with dual-spring-rate adjustable crossovers. All four corners are fully adjustable spring preload, crossover adjustment, rebound and both high- and low-speed compression damping with a huge 411mm of front travel and 432mm at the rear along with exceptional ride quality, tuneability and handling.
Supersport-Style Dashboard
The YXZ1000R SS XT-R features instruments inspired by Yamaha's high-performance supersport motorcycles. Functions include a digital speedometer, analog tachometer, programmable shift light, and readouts for 4WD mode, gear position, fuel level, trip meters, hour meter, coolant temperature warning and a clock.
Aggressive LED Lighting
Four super bright and long-lasting LED headlights provide brilliant forward illumination and give the YXZ1000R SS XT-R a sinister sense of style. WARN Winch Package

All-new Yamaha Auto-Shift Technology
The enhanced six-speed transmission on the YXZ1000R SS XT-R now also includes all-new Yamaha Auto-Shift Technology, providing the Pure Sport, direct-connection feeling to drivers who prefer automatic transmission, with the flexibility of switching to a manual gear selection for the ultimate direct-connection experience. Through a new dash-mounted dial, users can select between three transmission modes: "Auto", "Sport Auto" and "Sport Shift".
New close-ratio 6-speed transmission
The optimised gear ratios, including a 40% lower first gear, enhance capability and comfort during low-speed operation. The reduced half-clutch time results in improved clutch durability, smoother engagement, and reduced shift-shock and noise.
